when connecting the ps4 to the tv, i also get no video and the tv does not display the ps4 logo (a black screen). i am currently using my ps4 to a monitor running at a resolution of 1080p and can see the tv perfectly fine with no issues. i have tried an hdmi-cec cable (hdtv slim) and a regular hdmi cable (not coming from consumer electronics / tv maker) and have had the same issue. i am wanting to connect a playstation 4 to the pt-ae700e and connect the pt-ae700e to a samsung smart tv via hdmi. I just purchased my first panasonic pt-ae700e and am in need of some hdmi cable recommendations. so i would think that the hdmi-cec output is working fine. i have tried various other cables, including l.e.d.s at the tv and vga input ends. the hdmi-cec output on the universal receiver is fine. however, i was initially connected to my projector. i have several other tvs that work properly with my ps4 and universal receiver. if i switch back to hdmi-cec i no longer see the video on the universal receiver. i then switch ps4/wbox to vga input to get the video on the projector. i switched ps4/wbox to hdmi-cec and was able to see the video on the universal receiver. i was connecting my ps4 to the screen/wall-mount using the hdmi-cec output, and was getting a black display on the receiver (which of course means i have no video). i have to use vga because of the menu-based function on the receiver. I’m connecting ps4 to my universal receiver, which has hdmi-cec to allow for a switch between ps4/wbox and screen/wall-mount using the vga input on the receiver.
